Law and Order

Dustin Henry is the traumatized and unstable mister of Camille Peterson and the sister of model Brenna Lane, who Camille killed.

History[]

Dustin grew up in foster care with Brenna, who was always protective of him. Dustin became attracted to older women after a woman in his apartment complex seduced and raped him at the age of fourteen. Brenna always tried to steer him straight, but his love map was permanently warped, and he tried to kill himself because he couldn't bear to hear how she was trying to help him. His instability gave him a record of two juvie arrests in Florida and an ambulance dispatch when he had a pill overdose. Dustin started working in flower deliveries and supplied for the events of Senator Bryce Peterson. Dustin met his wife, Camille, who was paying for surgeries and treatments to look and feel younger, leaving Dustin smitten. Camille noticed and fell in love with him too, as Bryce neglected and objectified her, so she and Dustin began an affair, Camille using her wine account to assist Dustin's dreams of opening a winery. Brenna was horrified finding out the truth and breached Bryce's security to do her best to personally pass on the information to him at one of his public events, but she never got the chance to meet him. Camille confronted Brenna at her roommate Lucy Hughes' flat, and when Brenna professed she'd keep Dustin away from Camille, Camille panicked and killed her by hitting her head with an exercise weight. The Petersons' office manager, Andrea Wheaton, planted evidence to frame Dustin and burned Brenna's body in a dumpster to stall for time and protect Camille.

Brenna was identified through her hair extensions and footage of her trying to get to the Senator, where she fought with Dustin, as well as fought with him at LaGuardia before a flight she had. Dustin was found through his delivery van, and he was horrified to find out Brenna was murdered. He has no alibi, and it's assumed he killed Brenna because she was sleeping with Bryce and he got jealous. Though when questioned by Van Buren, he subtly hints his attraction to her. When she implies his instability would mean incest with Brenna, he's revolted and makes her leave. They get a warrant to search his apartment, and with blood on his shoes they charge him with murder. Since the warrant was on terrorism grounds, the evidence is thrown out. As Dustin is already on suicide watch, he becomes more unstable when questioned about the developing wine shop. He has a breakdown when nearly slipping about his affair with Camille, slams his head on the table, and is restrained. Dustin is institutionalized and prescribed Demerol.

Realizing Dustin was the one in the affair and knowing the woman is at the Petersons', they question Andrea, who lies she was the woman in his life. She's arrested when a rental car she ordered is found with the fur of Brenna's cat, which wasn't at her apartment and was placed in a no-kill shelter. Dustin, however, denies he had a relationship with Andrea, but denies to say who instead. When the wine account is revealed to have had paid for Camille's treatments, she's found out when Rubirosa questions the offices while pretending to be a client, and Camille's brought with Bryce to face Dustin. When Cutter demands Dustin recount his relationship, then bring up the treatments Camille had to take her age away, she admits the affair and fights with Bryce, who storms out. Dustin recounts being raped, which resulted in his lifelong problems and Brenna's guardian role, while Camille stated she felt she and Dustin belonged together and she killed Brenna so she wouldn't tell Bryce and keep them apart. Camille strokes Dustin's leg in an obvious harassment and says he made her feel beautiful again.

Dustin's ultimate state given his mental and emotional deterioration is left unknown, but Camille pleaded to twelve years for first-degree manslaughter, Andrea pleading to five years as an accessory. (L&O: "Crashers")
