This brought the New York City Police Department Detectives Lennie Briscoe and Rey Curtis to Los Angeles to investigate. The Manhattan District Attorney's Office would then send Executive assistant district attorney Jack McCoy and Assistant district attorney Jamie Ross to extradite him to New York in the episode "Turnaround".
- Another episode in the Law & Order franchise that deals with a faulty fire investigation is the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Torch".
