Eddie Dutton is the boyfriend of actress Lilly Carlyle. He was briefly a suspect in the murder of her father, Wharton Carlyle, when a double-edged switchblade like his own was presumed to be the murder weapon. It was instead found to be a single-edged blade used in different directions.
Eddie was exonerated when it was revealed John Hampton killed Wharton and framed Dutton, with Lilly testifying against him to get him arrested and imprisoned. (CI: "The Insider")
