Law and Order

Eileen Flynn is the mother of Maddie Flynn.

History[]

Eileen and Peter were out shopping with their daughter when Maddie was abducted by a sexual predator from the shopping center in broad daylight. While SVU Captain Benson investigated the case, she kept Peter and Eileen in the loop. When Benson and Chief Tommy McGrath held a press conference after finding a girl who was with Maddie, Eileen approached Benson in tears, angrily asking her why they hadn't found Maddie yet. (SVU: "Tunnel Blind")

After Peter's suicide attempt, Eileen called Benson to the hospital to tell her the news. Benson then took a personal day off to help Eileen get back on her feet. (SVU: "The Punch List")

Eileen and Peter were called when Benson believed she made a break. The Flynns were shown pictures of a child, who Eileen was surprised to see resembled Maddie with an altered appearance before shown the message she supposedly wrote. The Flynns regained some hope and told Benson that's definitely their daughter's handwriting. Benson thanked them for their time, becoming more determined to locate their child. Pulling every resource, SVU were able to apprehend Maddie's abductors and eventually found her. The Flynns rushed to the hospital when Benson called to tell them the good news, and they shared an emotional reunion with Maddie. The family was later present when Police Commissioner Robin Pettis congratulated the SVU and FBI for their work on Maddie's case. (SVU: "Zone Rouge")

When Brouchard posted bail, Eileen held him hostage before being convinced to lower the gun by Benson. Carisi then announced that Eileen will be given a plea deal. (SVU: "Combat Fatigue")

Eileen was cleared of all charges and attended Maddie's 16th birthday party. There, Eileen admitted to Benson that she didn't know how to be a proper mother to Maddie now. Benson then lent Eileen her compass necklace to guide her in her healing. (SVU: "Duty to Hope")
