Elio Costello is a member of the Russo Crime Family who targeted Robert Silas.
History[]
After Stabler, Robert and the squad get involved in a warehouse shooting with Polson, Costello sends his men to ambush the task force and assassinate Robert. Whelan then ends up getting shot in the shoulder by Costello's men and gets lost in the warehouse. After Whelan gets found in the warehouse, Costello manages to communicate with the task force through the monitors.
Costello then holds ADA Sanders hostage telling the squad that he will exchange Sanders for Robert. Stabler then comes up with a plan to trick Costello and rescue Sanders. When physically meeting Costello, Stabler disguises as Robert and walks up to Costello while Sanders walks up to the squad. Stabler then pulls out a gun and attempts to shoot Costello before a shootout started.
The task force then hide from Costello in a room where they are keeping Robert but then discover that police have surrounded the building. Costello's men attempt to fight against the police before surrendering. Costello then ends up getting arrested and taken into custody. (OC: "Last Christmas")
