Elvis Baktashi is a notorious Internet bigot with a massive following on YouTube who claims to be a vigilante for the Albanian community. Baktashi has crossed paths with Special Victims Unit several times, either as an adversary or ally.
History[]
Baktashi was present at a riot against Lonnie Liston, who was a suspect in the kidnapping, assault, and murder of Muslim teenager Ceranda Zajmi. Baktashi's actions inspired amateur gangster Eduardo Alvarez and two accomplices, after being tipped off by corrupt parole officer Roy Eastman, who had framed Liston for the murder, to torture and lynch Liston to death before setting him on fire. It's never specified if Baktashi was questioned for incitement of the lynching. (SVU: "Welcome to the Pedo Motel")
Baktashi was asked to meet with Benson about Rita Lasku's disappearance. Baktashi brings up their previous meeting and how she has nerve to call him especially when she called him a racist. Regardless, he explains that Rita is being trafficked by the Albanians and that she is not the only one. Baktashi then made one condition for his cooperation that he be allowed to watch SVU bring in the perpetrators. (SVU: "Fast Times @ TheWheelHouse")
Baktashi crossed paths with SVU again after Sebastian Guzmán reached out to him, asking him for help in protesting the arrest of his brother Carlos after he attacked Theodore Murtaugh, who molested his nephew. He later voiced his joy on television at how Murtaugh would be imprisoned for life after Carlos testified against him with evidence of the rape. He then called SVU after Carlos declined his offer to appear on the radio and subsequently planned to jump off the roof but was stopped by the SVU detectives. (SVU: "Burning With Rage Forever")
