Emily Deschanel (born Emily Erin Deschanel on October 11, 1976 in Los Angeles, California) is an actress who is known for her role as Dr. Temperance Brennan on the Fox series Bones (with Michaela Conlin, Tamara Taylor, Eric Millegan, and T.J. Thyne). She is the daughter of director Caleb Deschanel and actress Mary Jo Deschanel and the older sister of actress Zooey Deschanel.
In 2002, she guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode "Surveillance" as Cassie Germaine.
