Law and Order

Ephraim Mogae is the shooter of Sean Archer and the father of adopted baby Christopher Mogae, who was killed by negligence of his adoptive family.

History[]

Ephraim lived in the destitute country of Mamuno in Africa, which soap actress Sofia Archer took a charitable interest in. She donated funds to the economic, medical, and other reparations and advancements of the country, and in addition, she adopted Christopher to take to America with the argument of getting him a better life. Ephraim was outraged, as he thought Sofia would spend a year in the country with Christopher, but she left after three days. Ephraim was desperate to get Christopher back, so civil rights attorney Marlon Cooper smuggled him in through Canada, and Ephraim took shelter near his cousin Festus Lepetu if Ephraim needed any assistance.

Ephraim was given the phone number of the doorman, Dwayne McCready, to know just when the Archers would be out of the house. Ephraim used Cooper's phone, but he also swiped Cooper's pistol just in case he needed to scare anyone to hand Christopher over. Following the family to the ice cream parlor, Sofia's husband Sean was holding Christopher outside, so Ephraim approached him. When Sean wouldn't meet Ephraim's demands, Ephraim pulled the gun and cocked it. However, the firing pin was broken, and a shot flew out of the gun on its own into Sean's head, killing him instantly. Sean crashed through the window, Ephraim ran, and miraculously, Christopher was unharmed.

Ephraim escaped the apartment he was hiding in, but a high jump broke his ankle, so he called Festus to drive him away. As Festus drove a taxicab, it was easy to figure out the escape, so the police warned him they wanted Ephraim alive and peacefully surrendering. Festus gave Ephraim up as being at his apartment, and he was given immediate medical response while he was detained. Ephraim confessed in full, revealing he through the gun in a trash bin, and said he'd only write a statement if he saw Christopher. Despite Sofia's opposition, Ephraim got to see the baby boy, who Ephraim passionately proclaimed was in no way Christopher. It was revealed Sofia killed him out of negligence, then used her former assistant Lashonda Harris' baby as an imposter. Christopher was found buried in a park, which nanny Mary Calvin did at Sofia's instruction.

it's unknown what charges and penalties Ephraim faced once he found out his son was dead. (L&O: "Charity Case")
