Dr. Eric Aquino is a gay man who was physically and sexually assaulted by Joe Murphy.
History[]
Eric was found dying in the bushes in Central Park by Colleen Reynolds's son Dylan. Jayvon Brown was quickly arrested after Colleen accused him of assaulting Eric. However, Jayvon was acquitted when Joe was identified as the true assailant, which Joe said was after Eric had offered to give Joe a blowjob while drunk.
Joe was released from custody after saying he consented to drugs and sex with Eric but didn't use that argument because he was bisexual and engaged to a woman, exploiting the bad publicity faced by the NYPD and leaving the jury in deadlock. Outraged, Eric's family then faults Joe's release on the NYPD arresting Jayvon. It was unknown as to whether Eric ultimately survived the attack or not. (SVU: "Guardians and Gladiators")
