Eric Bonner was a serial killer who was also the brother of Chief Meredith Bonner and the son of Judge Clay Bonner.

History[]

Eric stalks Rita Lasku before kidnapping her and eventually taking her to a beachside bunker, where he murders her and buries her body at the beach. Detective Stabler then discovers that Christine Olston went missing a few weeks before and found the bunker. Christine is found tied up and alive, while Rita's body is found. Detective Reyes then discovers eight other women's bodies buried in the beach around the bunker. (OC: "Missing Persons")

While Stabler and Meredith investigate the murders, Eric kidnaps Heidi Morris and tries to frame Noah Cahill for his crimes. After Clay ends up murdering Cahill and Heidi is rescued, Clay approaches Eric and subtly reveals what he did. (OC: "Beyond The Sea")

After Clay fires Meredith, Stabler receives a phone call from Eric and tells him that he has to confess to get rid of his thoughts about murdering Stabler. After getting surveillance footage from the church, Detective Slootmaekers and Professor Kyle Vargas discover Eric walking into the church and share the news with Meredith. Meredith then meets with Eric and realizes that he is the killer. Slootmaekers then spies on Eric when he targets another woman, but Stabler intervenes and chases after him. Eric ends up tasing Stabler and kidnapping him. Stabler then gets tied up to a cross and tortured by Eric. Meredith then arrives at the scene and tries to get Eric to lower his weapon. When Eric refuses and charges at her, Meredith shoots and kills him. (OC: "Original Sin")
