Eric Campbell is the paid hitman of Missy Kurtz, who killed her sister, Rebecca, on Missy's order's, before Missy's boyfriend, Joey Field, shot him to silence him as a witness.
History[]
Campbell was a lower-class kid with an alcoholic father. In late 2002, he was contacted by Missy Kurtz after her sister, Rebecca, threatened to report her for Missy and Missy's boyfriend, Joey Field repeatedly raping Rebecca in her sleep. Campbell was paid with a gold necklace Missy received as a present from her foster parents, Peter and Raquel Kurtz, the birth parents of Rebecca, in exchange for conspiring to murder Rebecca to silence her. Before the plan was to be executed, Campbell pawned the necklace and treated himself to new, high-end goods, like a stereo, shoes, and an answering machine, which Joey contacted him on to vaguely provide the details.
The day of the attack, Missy and Rebecca went to Joey's job at the video store, before Campbell arrived in a ski mask, wielding a gun and starting a "stickup". With enough a foregrounds in the ruse, Campbell turned and shot in Rebecca's direction. He missed and kill John Marcum outside, so he moved closer and shot Rebecca point blank. Unknown to him, Missy and Joey plotted before hand to double-cross him, so Joey pulled out the gun his boss kept behind the cash register and shot Campbell dead with it.
When Rebecca was found to have gonorrhea and extensive trauma from the rapes, the crimes were found out. Tracking the necklace and the answering machine message, Joey, with the help of his father Malcolm, took a plea and was found guilty and sentenced to 25 years, while Missy was convicted and given the death penalty (SVU: "Damaged")
