Erin Blake is the foster mother of Stephen Talmadge, who was raised as Tyler Blake by her and her husband Adam Blake, all of them making a happy household together.

The Blakes bought Tyler from baby broker Mark Sanford, none of them knowing Stephen was kidnapped when his birth mom Jennifer Talmadge was killed. When Sanford was arrested, Stephen and the Blakes were tracked. Stephen's DNA matched Jennifer and his biological father, Robert Cook, who sued the Blakes for custody of Stephen in a lengthy, emotional family court battle. Robert's ex-wife Linda is revealed to have killed Jennifer in an argument and sold Stephen in Jennifer's name, to have Robert to herself and eliminate Jennifer's chances of a family Linda wouldn't be a part of.
After Linda was arrested, the Blakes lost custody of Stephen to Robert. But Robert agreed with the judge in including the Blakes and Talmadges in Stephen's continued life, which Stephen and his three families were glad to share with him. (SVU: "Stolen")
