Ernie (surname unknown) is the accomplice of serial killer Dale Grisco, Grisco wanting someone to teach after serial killer Elvis Howell made Grisco join his murder spree.
History[]
Little is known about Ernie, other than he was in special education due to his mathematics expertise and had a bad heroin addiction. Grisco found Ernie easy to manipulate, thus hiring him for his company, Elvis Nursery and Landscaping, as well as to help him dismember the remains of women in sex work Grisco murdered, before forcing their remains into a wood chipper and fertilizing the ground in Jackson Heights near where their property was located. Ernie was also lodged at Grisco's home, where Grisco also lived with his wife and daughter.
Grisco became much more public with his crimes and left people to be found dead after Howell was executed. When cops arrived at the site, Ernie tried to run with the murder weapon, a measuring baton, but was cornered and arrested. He mentioned 24 inches was the number they always relied on when burying people they murdered, so because he was obsessed with numbers, Nichols picked up on the combination for the freezer where they were kept being 6-12-24, and Ernie admitted the bloody freezer was emptied already. Considering Ernie's personal status of living and his debatable level of involvement and knowledge of the murders, it's unknown what legal penalties he faced as an accessory. (CI: "Disciple")
