Mrs. Fairchild (first name unknown) is a con victim of serial swindler Lyle Christopher. After Mrs. Fairchild inherited her late husband’s estate, Christopher took advantage of her by seducing her and selling her horses with poor performance by faking their ID tattoos. Christopher also coerced 50 grand from Mrs. Fairchild to pay back his debts, the police not taking her case and even civil courts disagreeing with the need to get her money back.
After he left her for heiress Ruth Thomas, Ruth found out Christopher’s cons and planned to report him, resulting in her murder and disappeared remains. When Christopher’s cons were being tied together, Mrs. Fairchild was questioned, her leading the detectives to Ruth also leading them to her disappearance. (L&O: "Corpus Delicti")
