Michelle Thompson is a woman who she claimed was molested by her father Derek as a child. Michelle later recanted her claims, saying her mother Audrey pressured her to say that she was molested and she wanted help to exonerate her father.
With the help of the Special Victims Unit, Bayard Ellis, and Curtis Scott, Derek was acquitted from any charges but Benson had her doubts as to whether Derek did molest Michelle or not as she witnessed Michelle looking uncomfortable when Derek hugged her after being acquitted.
