Eddie Travandze was a Georgian immigrant who previously served one year in prison for burglary charges. In 2003, he was charged with robbing a jewelry store, killing the owner, and wounding a customer in an attempt to eliminate witnesses.
Travandze was acquitted when the customer didn't show up at the trial to identify him. (L&O: "Absentia")
