Executive ADA Garret Blane was temporarily assigned to the Special Victims Unit after the departure of ADA Alexandra Cabot. It is not revealed what bureau Blaine comes from, but he and Captain Donald Cragen seem to have worked together before. ADA Blane has a reputation for "never pushing for trial" but he replies that is because "I never have an iron clad case".
