Gary Cole is a prolific actor with credits in stage, TV, film, and voice acting. He starred in the films Office Space, The Brady Bunch Movie and its two sequels (with Jesse Lee Soffer in the first two films), Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (with Missi Pyle and Rip Torn), and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, along with the TV shows Midnight Caller, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law (with Stephen Colbert), Veep (with Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Kevin Dunn, Clea DuVall, Tony Hale, and Margaret Colin), and Mixed-ish (with Mark-Paul Gosselaar). He also had recurring roles on Family Guy, Chicago Fire, and as Kurt McVeigh on The Good Wife and The Good Fight (with Christine Baranski).
He portrayed Xander Henry in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Brotherhood". He also guest-starred in the shelved SVU episode "Unstoppable" in a role that was never named.[1]
As of Season 19, Cole joined NCIS (with Rocky Carroll and David McCallum), taking over from Mark Harmon, who left the show, as FBI Special Agent, and new head of Gibbs' team, Alden Parker.
Cole married actress Teddi Siddall on March 8, 1992. Their daughter Mary, who has autism is pursuing an acting career. On June 19, 2017, Siddall filed for divorce. Siddall died in 2018.
