Judge Gerald Crane is the ex-husband of defense attorney Sofia Crane and a rapist set up by Holly Schneider to rape actress Meghan Weller during an interactive theater performance, motivated out of jealousy.
History[]
Using her access to a pornography site, Schneider found Crane online and made a fake account in Meghan's name to arrange a "meeting" between the two during her latest production. When Crane arrived, he raped her while a critic pinned her to keep her from moving, assuming it was part of the play.
When Crane was tracked and arrested, he was oblivious to the setup and believed Meghan was behind the account and disregarded the lack of consent in the rape. He was brought into the precinct and was represented by his ex-wife as his lawyer.
When Crane found out the truth, he expressed heavy guilt at his actions, while Sofia attempted to comfort him because he didn't know. Crane also realized he had to be charged in order for the orchestrator to face charges. He gave the detectives his account on the website where he supposedly met Meghan. This led to Schneider being found out and she was arrested.
Crane was found guilty of rape and evading justice and imprisoned, permanently disbarred from the judicial system. (SVU: "Theatre Tricks")
