Gianni Uzielli is a mobster, his crimes covered by Detective Tony Profaci at the payment of his father Giancarlo. He is revealed to be the killer of Suzanne Taylor, a prostitute pregnant with his child and demanding a paternity test for child support. Gianni then threatened Profaci's life and that of his wife if the former didn't help dispose of Suzanne's remains. He also ordered a successful hit on Suzanne's pimp, Seymour Stockton, to avoid implication in the murder.

Mike Logan made it his personal mission to catch Gianni to restore his credit on the force and get his job back. When he found out Profaci was involved, he worked to get his confession with enough incriminating evidence and stressing his culpability to get them turned in. Profaci rolled on the Uziellis, Gianni in particular, and Giancarlo, faced with the evidence of his son's crimes, turned him over to the police at the family estate. Enraged, Gianni pulled a gun and shot his father dead in response, and was immediately arrested. He was later convicted for all three murders, as well as conspiracy and obstruction of justice, and given life imprisonment with no parole.
