Gina Silver is a woman who murdered a corrupt judge named Warren Varella, who coerced her into having sex with him in order to keep her abusive husband Roger in prison.

History[]

She was physically abused by her husband Roger, which led to his arrest. Judge Varella sentenced Roger to do time in prison. Fearful that her husband will be released and seek revenge, Gina later approached Varella on making sure this would not happen. Varella exploited her fear by coercing her into having sex with him in order to keep her abusive husband in prison. Varella kept his word by sabotaging Silver's chance of parole.

Eventually, Gina grew disgusted with herself and called off the arrangement, but he did not take this well. Varella had humiliated Gina by making her perform a sexual act and put her in danger by making a phone call to get Silver out of jail so Silver could terrorize her and her teenage daughter Jillian.

Knowing Varella was behind this, Gina shot him in the head and groin before leaving his body in his car to be found by SVU detectives. After SVU discovered her part, she confessed and was given immunity in exchange for identifying people who assisted Varella in a multitude of other corrupt actions. She was later held hostage by Roger after he was released from prison, but she was saved when he was shot and killed by Detective Benson. (SVU: "Disrobed")
