Gordon Rickett is a serial killer, serial rapist, and serial kidnapper of young girls. He was the prime suspect in four murders, two in New York City, one in Nevada, and one in Arizona.

History[]

Gordon's father abandoned him when he was a child and left him in the care of his abusive mother. As a result, Gordon felt cheated by life, and blamed his many failures on the world refusing to give him his due. He took his rage out on children, resenting them for having the hope, trust and potential that he never would. He also had a long history of domestic violence, and a tendency to degrade his adult sexual partners by making them wear pigtails so they would resemble little girls. He eventually became a serial killer outright, targeting preteen girls whom he would rape and murder as his pathology manifested more violently.

In 1991, Detective Elliot Stabler investigated Gordon's first murder. During the resulting interrogation, Stabler threw Gordon through a plate glass window. The victim, Dana MacNamara, lived in the apartment above Gordon's bar. However, at the time, there was not enough evidence to prove Gordon's guilt, and the jury acquitted him. While he was set free, his reputation was damaged by the publicity from the trial, and his family disowned him; he blamed Stabler and held a grudge against him for years. Gordon later moved around the United States to continue his murder spree.

In 2005, Gordon settled in California, but was evicted from his apartment and the state after he attempted to rape his girlfriend's daughter. He then returned to New York City, where he took advantage of an aging friend of his mother's by stealing from her finances. Using her house as a hideout, he murdered Kerry Lynn Palmer. He was later arrested by SVU on suspicion of the murder. Stabler, Benson, and Tutuola interrogated him for 24 hours, with Stabler engaging in a pitched war of wills with Gordon, but were forced to let him go when he didn't reveal anything. Before leaving the station house, he taunted Stabler by insinuating that the two of them were just alike, and that it was only a matter of time before Stabler lost control and killed someone.

After finding more evidence linking Gordon to Palmer's murder, Stabler and Benson raided the hideout and found him about to attack another girl he kidnapped, Emily Barrington. Stabler was about to kill him in cold blood during a hostage standoff, but Benson stopped him by wounding Gordon in the arm. Gordon was arrested and sent to prison for life for kidnapping and Palmer's murder. (SVU: "Rage")
