Grace Mayberry was the socialite mother of sexual predator Jason Mayberry, which happened from Grace molesting and raping Jason through most of his childhood.

When Grace's husband died when Jason was five, she started showing incestuous, pedophilic urges toward Jason. Grace first molested Jason when he was six, then started raping him when he was in puberty, always calling him a "boy" to make him submissive and belittled enough to go along with the abuse. Grace took up the majority of Jason's sexual activity throughout his childhood, leaving Jason a predator with a desire to dominate women. Most notably, Jason developed piquerism, a sexual fetish of stabbing and pricking, and started assaulting multiple women in such a way with hatpins.
When Jason raped and murdered pregnant colleague Veronica Tandy, Grace was questioned when he became a suspect. When Olivia Benson found her clothes in Jason's apartment, she realized the sexual abuse and confronted Grace, who was "appalled" by the "insinuations". When Jason was coaxed into confessing to his crimes after a nervous breakdown from flashing to the sexual abuse, and then arrested, Grace arrives and rambled he must've told lies about her.
After Jason's attorney argues the confession was under coercion, Grace bails him out and takes him to the family mansion. Getting him into bed again, she doesn't notice the knife he used to stab Tandy with, which Jason pulls during the exchange with Grace to stab her to death. Benson and Elliot Stabler find Jason humming over and caressing Grace's corpse, covered in blood with the knife on the night table. (SVU: "Pique")
