Harry Connick, Jr. (born Joseph Harry Fowler Connick Jr. on September 11, 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an actor who played Executive Assistant District Attorney David Haden on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Connick appeared in a four-episode arc in season 13 of SVU. His father, Harry Connick, Sr., was district attorney of New Orleans.
He has released several jazz albums and served as a judge on seasons 13 to 15 of American Idol. He also hosted his own daytime talk show, Harry. His most prominent TV role was the character of Leo Markus on the sitcom Will and Grace (opposite Debra Messing). He also appeared in the film Independence Day (with Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Margaret Colin, Vivica A. Fox, Adam Baldwin, Judd Hirsch, Brent Spiner, James Rebhorn, and Mae Whitman).
