Law and Order

Heidi Sorenson is a newscaster and a rape victim of anchor and serial rapist Harold Coyle. Heidi had a post-traumatic flashback when partaking in a segment of industry rape culture, interviewing actress Davina Delucci over being raped on a released film by producer Dante Marino. Heidi slipped and said she had personal experience with rape trauma before running off the set.

She told Benson, a guest on the show, that Coyle raped her on his couch and threatened to ruin her career with a recording of the rape. She was afraid of too much of a scandal when she was near being replaced, so she cooperated much less, even remarking unlike another woman who Coyle raped, she wouldn't commit suicide. It was revealed several people knew at the studio, and when it was revealed she was reporting for an investigation, she was fired anyway and replaced with Margery Evans.

When Margery publicly lauded Coyle on the news, Gwendolyn Gates also came forward and encouraged the same for four more women. When Coyle was taken to trial, and Margery lied on the stand, Heidi confronted her outside the trial and demanded answers, warning her about Coyle's rapes. Margery just said she was loyal, but she was revealed to also be a victim when demanding the tape of her being raped from Coyle, narrowly escaping a rape attempt by Coyle on record.

With this, Coyle took a plea deal of a year in prison. Heidi received a settlement, which she used to buy a developing building where she was founding Step Up, a feminist youth organization. (SVU: "The Newsroom")
