Howard Lowe is a vigilante who assaulted pedophile Greg Hightower after he was ousted on both Scumwatch, a predator-tracking organization, and Hard Focus, a predator-sting reality show, when the two collaborated. Lowe's daughter was raped and murdered during a school trip, and he decided to take it out on Hightower by beating him within an inch of his life, hoping to kill Hightower. Hightower survived and was rushed to the hospital.
Lowe was quickly arrested when Hightower described his appearance, car, and license plate. Lowe protested against the police and didn't care about being taken into custody, saying that, without his daughter, he had nothing else left to fight for. Despite being a suspect in the murder of another exposed pedophile, Carl Mullaly, his alibi checked out.
Lowe was found guilty of aggravated assault with intent to murder, stalking, and evading authority and was imprisoned. (L&O: "Public Service Homicide")
