Imam Ibrahim (surname unknown) is the imam of a local Muslim community under severe danger from a terrorist plot within their vicinity.
History[]
Ibrahim's nephew worked as a security in the World Trade Center and died during the 9/11 attacks. As Americans grew increasingly Islamophobic, bigots threw pig's blood at the door of Ibrahim's mosque. Ibrahim later heard that one of his congregants, Benjamin Faoud, was planning a dirty bomb attack. However, in order to protect his community from hateful reactions, he kept quiet.
Faoud later killed his cousin-in-law Eric Khalaby, who turned on him and was planning to report him to the authorities. The mosque was then stormed to stop another terrorist, Ray Al-Sini, from committing an attack, resulting in his death and Faoud's arrest. Faoud pressured Ibrahim into giving him a false alibi, but Ibrahim surreptitiously told the media about Faoud's purchase of a uranium shipment to ensure his conviction. Under the threat of being charged as an accessory, Ibrahim testified about hearing Faoud's plans he harassed Eric with.
Faoud was convicted, and he threatened Ibrahim in Arabic that he will burn. Ibrahim replied in Arabic his support of the United States. Later, a brick was thrown through his bathroom window with the word "terrorist" carved into it, and his mosque was attacked by an arsonist. (L&O: "Fear America")
