Tracy Lauren Marrow, better known by his stage name Ice-T, is an American rapper, rock musician, author, and actor. Since 2000, he has played the role of Detective Odafin Tutuola on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Ice-T also appeared in the Law & Order episode "Flaw", the Law & Order: Organized Crime episodes "The Good, The Bad And The Lovely" and "With Many Names" and the 30 Rock episode "¡Qué Sorpresa!" as Detective Tutuola.

Before his appearances as Tutuola, Ice-T played a pimp called Seymour 'Kingston' Stockton in the franchise's only movie Exiled: A Law & Order Movie.

As an actor, he played small parts in the films Breakin and its sequels, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo and Rappin', during the 1980s, before his major role debut, starring as police detective Scotty Appleton in New Jack City (featuring Vanessa Williams, Michael Michele, and Mario Van Peebles, who directed the movie). He received top billing for his role as Jack Mason in Surviving the Game.

Ice-T also voiced the character of Madd Dogg in the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (with Samuel L. Jackson).

Ice-T's first appearance on Law & Order was in the second episode of the first season of the original series, entitled "Subterranean Homeboy Blues". His song "Comin' Through" is playing on a boombox in a subway car during the opening scene.

In addition to being an actor, Ice-T is also a musician. He is known for his work as the lead singer for the heavy metal band, Body Count; their latest album, Bloodlust, was released on March 31, 2017. Their song "Cop Killer" garnered some controversy in the '90s for its content; it was mentioned as a favorite of a criminal in the Law & Order episode "Competence". His SVU co-star Kelli Giddish appeared in the music video for their song "All Love Is Lost".

He has been married to actress, dancer, glamor model, and web personality Coco, since January 2002. They have one daughter named Chanel Nicole Marrow (born November 28, 2015). They starred on their own reality tv series, Ice Loves Coco, from 2011 to 2013.
