Isaac Franklin is a young man who fled to New York City after sleeping with his underage girlfriend.
Background[]
While in Minnesota, Isaac was acquainted with Evangeline Miller who was a friend of his sister.
He was involved with an underage teenage girl and a warrant was issued for his arrest, but he fled to New York, before he could be arrested. This was well known to everyone in his town who were only happy that their children were safe from him. While in New York, he picked up work as a tattoo artist and he obtained a pet dog.
On SVU[]
When Evangeline fled Minnesota to get an abortion, she stayed with Isaac who was the only person she knew in the city. Isaac allowed her to stay and told her to panhandle his dog to get money if she wanted to get by.
After Evangeline's parents went to SVU in finding her, they mentioned Isaac as a person of interest due to their past acquaintance and the charges against him. This caused SVU to learn of his job. Much later, Gretchen, one of his co-workers gives him up and Officer Katriona Tamin and Sergeant Odafin Tutuola confront Isaac at his apartment. He is dismayed to be confronted by the police but denies doing anything to Evangeline because of their friendship. They threaten to arrest him and extradite him to Ohio if he does not come clean about where she is. Isaac tells the detectives that he allowed her to panhandle his dog Duke, leading to her being found. He was briefly considered to be the one who fathered her child, due to his history but was cleared when it turned out her stepfather was actually her rapist.
It is unknown if Isaac was arrested and extradited to Ohio for statutory rape. (SVU: "The Burden Of Our Choices")
