Isaiah Holmes is an assistant district attorney who has been involved with cases investigated by the Special Victims Unit.

History[]

Isaiah first came into contact with the SVU after a man who had been imprisoned since 2003 for a crime he never committed was innocent all along. At this time, he was a senior Assistant District Attorney with the Queens District Attorney's Office. In addition to his duties as a Queens ADA, Isaiah also taught at Fordham Law School, where one of his students was now-Manhattan ADA Dominick Carisi, Jr. (SVU: "Murdered at a Bad Address")

After the protests following the death of George Floyd, Isaiah was promoted and transferred from Queens to the Head of Brooklyn (Kings County) District Attorney's Office's Civil Rights Unit. He helped the SVU with a case involving a judge running for a political career accused of several rapes who happened to attend Hudson University with Isaiah in 1991. He secretly recorded Judge Gallagher confessing to rape, which he showed to Judge Annette Lewis. This ultimately got Gallagher imprisoned for one year. (SVU: "The Long Arm Of The Witness")
