Jacob Reese is the father of Mary Reese and the killer of her schoolteacher, Charles Nash. He placed Nash in a church and set the building on fire to disguise it as a series of church fires in the area, adding one to the list.

Reese argued he defended Mary against Nash refusing to teach conservative lessons in school. It was revealed Reese killed Nash out of believing Nash was sexually abusing Mary, when it was really her school counselor, Luke Thornton.

Under the threat of charging Mary with the perjury she used to protect her father, Reese pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. (L&O: "Good Faith")
