Jamey Sheridan is an actor known for playing Captain James Deakins in the first five seasons from Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He also gave voice to his character in the game "Law & Order: Criminal Intent".
Late in Season 4, Sheridan began wearing an eye patch as he began showing the symptoms of Bell's palsy. This was written into the show, however Deakins was written out of the series at the end of Season 5, at Sheridan's request. His character was replaced by Captain Danny Ross, played by Eric Bogosian.
Sheridan starred in the films Whispers in the Dark (with his Criminal Intent co-star Annabella Sciorra) and A Stranger Among Us. He also starred on the TV shows Chicago Hope (with Adam Arkin, Mandy Patinkin, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Christine Lahti) and Homeland (again with Patinkin and Claire Danes, David Marciano, and Navid Negahban) and had a recurring role of Robert Queen on Arrow (opposite Susanna Thompson).
