Jane Kalreiss (alias Wendy Baker) is a victim and accomplice of child pornographer Peter.

History[]

Jane was kidnapped by Peter and sexually exploited online for five years starting in her preteen years, and when she grew older, instead of Peter throwing her out, she was recruited as his scout for other girls. At least four other girls were kidnapped, sexually traumatized for at least a year, and released to end up as prostitutes or drug addicts. Jane was subjugated from being isolated and brainwashed with lies of her family "never" looking for her while she was missing.

When Emily Culphers was kidnapped, Jane was found at a decoy location and her identity was revealed. While Nick Amaro stalled Peter to prevent Emily's rape, Jane was reinforced with memories of herself by Detectives Benson and Rollins to break the oppression she was under. The SVU decided to take a big leap: they contacted Jane's family and had her talk with them. When she saw her mother and sister for the first time in years in a video chat, Jane broke out of her manipulation and cried at seeing them again and vice-versa. Jane caught up with her family and was devastated to hear that her father died searching for her and to learn she missed the birth of her new niece Janey, who was named after her. Nevertheless, her family voiced how they missed her and just wanted her to come back home. Overcome by emotion, Jane turned against Peter and revealed his location, saving Emily in time.

Jane was likely never charged because of her mental state and rape trauma, which clearly showed she suffered from Stockholm syndrome, and instead institutionalized to recover from her ordeal before her rescue. (SVU: "Friending Emily")
