Janine Lutz is a rape victim of Damon Kerrigan while he was assisted by Maya Sills.

Janine worked with Sills in ER nursing and was given drugs by Sills when she stole them. Sills lured Janine to her and Kerrigan's place to have regular threesomes. One night, Janine's drink was spiked by Sills, bfore Janine was raped by Kerrigan and Sills whispered "now you know who killed you" into Janine's ear. They tried to kill her, but she escaped. When Sills kept stalking her so Kerrigan could kill her to keep their relationship, Janine tried and failed twice for a restraining order, then changed addresses and fled.
Janine was tracked by police and given protection while the couple was lured to the house. Janine fled from the market into her apartment when she saw Sills. Kerrigan had access to her building using his position as a fireman, and Janine was attacked and pushed into her apartment by Kerrigan when the police arrested him. Sills was detained in a car outside. Janine told about the rape, insisting the couple, both equally involved, should be convicted.
