Jay Sitrick is a bouncer and the former prime suspect in a shooting at the nightclub he worked at, the gun used later being the murder weapon of Detective Nick Carvahal. Sitrick professed his innocence in both crimes and was let go from little evidence.
He, however, knew Gary Blanchard, a tabloid photographer and the tenant of the apartment the killer broke into before shooting Detective Carvahal. He directed investigators to Teddy Gullo, Blanchard’s personal rival who pointed the detectives in the direction they needed to be investigating. (L&O: "Fame")
