Jazlyn Albisi is the mother of El-Shani Albisi and a pillar of the reserved Arab and Muslim communities of New York City.
History[]
El-Shani's husband Mira is found raped with a pipe and burned alive. When she's identified, El-Shani was informed of her death, much to his grief. Mira's son Ahmet, who was born from another marriage, walked up to Jazlyn and asked when his mother would "come home", not fully understanding Mira is dead.
El-Shani was revealed to be a temperamental husband to Mira, who wanted out of the unhappy marriage of arguments, police calls to the house, and Jazlyn covering for El-Shani and manipulating Mira to stay for the family's and community's reputations. The Elbisis were further suspected when Mira was revealed to be having an affair with Joshua Feldman, a Jewish man she was working with to unite the three main faiths of the world.
All people related to Mira were cleared, as another Arab man, Tariq Assad, was raped and murdered in an almost identical fashion, including the details never leaked to the news. The spree killer, Islamophobe Sean Webster, was arrested and later killed in prison for his crimes. (SVU: "Hate")
