Jeff Lathan is the father of pageant girl Cherie Lathan, who was stressed to perfection by Jeff all the way down to her appearance. Cherie was later founded raped and murdered stuffed into a suitcase on a bus.
When Jeff was asked for a DNA sample, he was appalled to be assumed as a suspect. Nevertheless, the detectives received on, only for the DNA to not match samples found at the scene of Cherie's murder. (SVU: "Appearances")
