Jeff Samonsky is the abusive stepfather of Rose Samonsky and the husband of Amber Samonsky.
History[]
Both Jeff and Rose were mentally ill, squalid video game addicts, Amber suffering from a psychosis that Rose wasn't her daughter due to a brain injury. As a result, both abused her, with Jeff locking Rose in a cage to keep her from wandering around or out of the apartment. When Rose escaped, starving and wanting candy from the nearby convenience store, she was raped, and Jeff became a suspect. The couple was arrested in the middle of a video game.
Jeff was outraged to be accused and denied being a rapist, while stating he had not had sex in six months, but admitted to keeping his stepdaughter locked up in a cage, showing no remorse towards his treatment of her. From this, Dr. Huang stated Jeff was not a pedophile but simply a jerk. When Amber's condition was revealed, she was isolated to get her to incriminate Jeff. When Amber heard Rose's voice without seeing her, she believed her daughter was there and said she loved her. Before Amber could incriminate her husband, Rose ran in to hug her, causing Amber to get mad and slap her daughter. Amber was later institutionalized, and Rose was place into foster care.
The real rapist, Erik Weber, was soon found and arrested. It is unknown if Jeff was arrested for domestic child abuse and neglect. (SVU: "Bullseye")
