Law and Order

Jenna Miller is a bipolar Tokyo Olympics hopeful, and a victim of serial rapist Michael Wheeler.

History[]

Jenna ended up sleeping around with men she met at bars because of her mental health struggles, even taking money from them when they thought she was a prostitute because she didn't consider much of it and just liked the extra cash. Aside from that, she stressed her body to exert her energy in manic episodes, and her mood swings overwhelmed her husband Chad and their son Sam.

Jenna met Wheeler at a bar and was raped and brutalized by him. She was then found by two officers while drunk, high, and jumping between rooftops and running down the street with her clothes shredded in a manic episode from her stress form rape trauma. During the rape exam, she was found anally raped, beaten, and bitten from the violence of the attack. At first, Jenna was reluctant to help the Special Victims Unit, especially after her promiscuity was revealed and it would've provoked her health problems and destroyed her athletic career. She eventually agreed to an undercover sting and tried to get Wheeler to confess to rape, but the effort went awry when Jenna's husband Chad appeared suddenly, got angry, and tried to fight Wheeler. Wheeler was nevertheless arrested and taken to trial.

On the stand, while being interrogated by Sunil Varma, Jenna had a psychotic meltdown and started to strip down. Amanda Rollins asks her to get evaluated by a mental health professional, which she does and gets a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. Eventually, after Wheeler made a plea deal, Jenna decided to put her Olympic career aside in order to get help for her bipolar disorder. Her husband who stuck by her side throughout her ordeal also promised to help her do so. (SVU: "Heightened Emotions")
