Jennifer Beals (born December 19, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois) is an actress who has starred on Law & Order and Law & Order: Organized Crime.
She is known for her role as Alex Owens in the 1983 film Flashdance (with Michael Nouri) and as Bette Porter on the Showtime television series The L Word and The L World: Generation Q (with Katherine Moennig). She also played Christina Hart in NBC crime drama series Taken (with Jessica Camacho) and Lucilia Cable on the 2019 TV series Swamp Thing (with Virginia Madsen). In December 2021, Beals appeared in the series premiere of The Book of Boba Fett, a Disney+ series in the Star Wars franchise, where she portrays the Twi'lek Garsa Fwip (with Ming-Na Wen).
