Jennifer Beals (born December 19, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois) is an actress who is known for her role as Alex Owens in the 1983 film "Flashdance" and as Bette Porter on the Showtime network TV series "The L Word." She also played as Christina Hart in NBC crime drama series "Taken" with her co-star Jessica Camacho.
In 2007, she guest-starred on Law & Order in the episode "Charity Case" as Sofia Archer.
