Law and Order

Jeremy (surname unknown) is the cousin and rapist of Lee Healy from when both were kids.

History[]

During a family visit, Jeremy fondled and raped his cousin one night, before he successfully got Lee to pin the sexual assault on Mike Baxter, the boyfriend of Lee's mother Carin and father of Lee's half-brother, Danny. Mike was convicted and imprisoned for ten years, with Jeremy staying under the radar and going to work for Carin, feigning being a concerned relative. Lee always kept his distance from Jeremy by never interacting with him.

Jeremy's evaded justice until Mike made a prison escape to confront Lee in a hostage situation, which led to Mike getting shot in the standoff. DNA tests proved Mike was innocent and that Lee was really abused by a relative. SVU soon realized Jeremy was the real sexual assailant, but he denied it and as nearly assaulted by Andy Eckerson who swore to convict him. Soon Lee caved and admitted to the lies, partly out of fear and depression but also not wanting a stepfather in Mike and giving in to Jeremy's harassment.

Jeremy was arrested and seeing Eckerson, he voiced that he was going to file a police brutality complain against him, but the latter was unfazed. Eventually, Jeremy was confronted by Lee and attempted to beg his cousin to say it was a lie, but Lee only responded by denouncing him on the spot for his acts. Losing his credibility, Jeremy can only tell the detectives that they were kids having fun, but Benson condemned him for ruining Mike's life before he is taken away. Later on, Benson visited a hospitalized Mike to reveal that Jeremy was arrested, and he will not go back to prison for his escape, as the charges have been dropped. Mike was happy that his name was cleared.

He is found guilty of child sexual assault, conspiracy to false incrimination, reckless endangerment, and the near-death of an innocent suspect, serving the maximum sentence for the verdict. (SVU: "Escape")
