Dr. Jerome Oziel was the therapist whom Erik Menendez confided to.
History[]
In 1989, Erik claimed that he murdered his parents, Kitty and Jose, to Oziel. Oziel then called his brother, Lyle, and asked him to come back for more therapy otherwise he will notify the police. Later, Oziel accused Lyle of threatening him during a therapy session but Lyle claimed that he didn't. After showing the court a recorded tape, Oziel testified that Lyle had threatened him and that everything on the tape was true. Oziel claimed that Erik told him that he plotted to kill his father because of a movie he watched. Over a phone call, Oziel was caught by police admitting to Judalon Smyth that he was trying to get Erik and Lyle's money and asked her to pretend to be Erik on the tape and make threats towards him.
