Jessalyn Kerr is a woman accused of killing her dance rival Alona Landau when in reality it was her best friend and roommate Paulette Bartol.
History[]
Kerr had wanted to be a dancer since she was five years old. She had also a prior drug program when she was younger. In spite of this, she was eventually accepted at the Shuman, a competitive performing arts school. At the school, she suffered a foot injury when a shard of glass was found in her shoe which hampered her ability to perform and suspected Landau of possibly sabotaging her. However, the glass was actually put in her shoe by Paulette Bartol, who had wanted to be with Landau.
Delicate[]
Kerr was still recovering from her foot injury, which made her hesitant to perform some of the moves. Landau was then picked to be the lead performer by their instructor, Ethan Johns.
However, after Landau is killed by Bartol, she is given the lead performance. Unbeknownst to her, Bartol had also put antifreeze in the sports drinks the other dancers would drink, leading to them getting sick and allowing Kerr to outshine the others. Kerr and Bartol start falling for each other and eventually plan to run away, but the Major Case Squad find out about what Bartol had done and eventually reveal to Kerr about how Bartol sabotaged her with the glass. This leads Kerr to break up with Bartol, ending the relationship and having Bartol face punishment for her actions on her own.
