Jill Hennessy is an actress who played Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid. She first appeared in the Season 4 episode "Sweeps", and made her last appearance in the Season 6 episode "Aftershock". She also appeared in the Homicide: Life on the Street crossover episode "For God and Country". According to an interview with The Morning Call, the reason why Jill Hennessy left the show was because she feared being typecast.[1]
Hennessy went on to play Medical Examiner Jordan Cavanaugh on the TV show Crossing Jordan (with Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Miguel Ferrer, Ken Howard, and Lorraine Toussaint). She also went on to star in the films Robocop 3 (with Robert John Burke and Rip Torn) and Most Wanted (with Paul Sorvino) and the TV shows Jo (created by René Balcer and also starring Wunmi Mosaku and Sean Pertwee) and City on a Hill (with Matthew Del Negro).
Hennessy has a twin sister called Jacqueline.
