Jimmy Walp is a mentally disabled man who raped and murdered an elderly woman named Lenore Bernstein.

History[]

Jimmy broke into Mrs. Bernstein's house, where he raped her. The terror caused Mrs. Bernstein to have a heart attack, which ultimately killed her. The Special Victims Unit soon tracked down Jimmy and took him to trial, however Emil Skoda and Jimmy's defense attorney believed that Jimmy had no understanding of what he did and that what he did was wrong.

However, on the stand, Jimmy admitted to everything that he did and said that it felt good. Thanks to Skoda, Jimmy was sent to an institution for the severely disabled and mentally ill, which angered Cragen who believed that justice wasn't served. When Jimmy arrived at the institution, he was disturbed by the people there and was distraught that he was to be institutionalized there. (SVU: "The Third Guy")
