John Heard was an American actor who was most famous for his role in the 1990 film Home Alone and the 1992 sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (with Michael C. Maronna, Devin Ratray, and Gerry Bamman) as Peter McCallister (a role played by Jason Beghe in Home Alone 4). He played four different characters in Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Heard was married to actress Margot Kidder though they separated after six days. Kidder also guess starred on SVU. He also had a son with ex-girlfriend Melissa Leo, named John Matthew Heard (born 1987). Leo can be seen in several episodes from the Law & Order franchise.
