John Bernard Larroquette (born on November 25, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an actor who is well-known for his roles on Night Court (for which he received four consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series) and its 2023 sequel series of the same name (with Nyambi Nyambi), The John Larroquette Show (with Daryl Mitchell), the ABC legal comedy-drama series Boston Legal (2004–2008 with Candice Bergen, Christian Clemenson, and Saffron Burrows), the TNT fantasy adventure series The Librarians (2014–2018), and Me, Myself and I (with Christopher Paul Richards).
In 2009, he guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode "Anchor" as Randall Carver.
He made his film debut by providing the opening narration of the horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), following which he appeared in films such as Stripes (1981), Meatballs Part II (1984), Richie Rich (1994 with Rory Culkin, Christine Ebersole, Edward Herrmann, and Stephi Lineburg), and the Hallmark Channel mystery television film series McBride (2005–2008).
