Law and Order

John Nelson was a white supremacist who shot nineteen Asian-American people, seven of them fatally, in a subway train during a mass shooting.

History[]

After Lacey came in to speak with Dixon, Jessica came in to see Lacey where Jessica told them that John was a racist who made threats towards Asian people and blamed them for COVID-19. Jessica gave the police John's last location where Cosgrove and Shaw chased after him. John was eventually arrested by Manhattan Homicide Squad Detectives Frank Cosgrove and Jalen Shaw and taken into custody.

Price then discovered that the U.S. Attorney's Office wants him to make sure that John gets the death penalty which meant identifying Jessica's name. Jessica was distraught and refused to testify but Nolan Price and Samantha Maroun subpoenaed her to testify against John. After Price examined the girl who he saved from being killed, John's attorney, Andrea Rankin, agreed that the shooting was a hate crime.

In order to get John to be found guilty, Price and Maroun gather jurors on the subway where John killed several people. This managed to convince the jurors that John was a hateful man who deserved to get sentenced to death. Eventually, John was found guilty of seven counts of murder and sentenced to death by lethal injection. (L&O: "Camouflage")
