John R. "Jack" Curry is an assisted suicide specialist of gay men with AIDS and a murderer.

History[]

Two of Curry's friends in California developed AIDS and wanted to commit suicide, so Curry agreed to be a witness and accomplice. When each of the men shot themselves, Curry staged the scenes as burglaries. His boyfriend, Bobby Holland, also developed AIDS once they lived in New York. This time, Holland staged the scene, while Curry personally shot him.

When he was arrested, his trial was a cause celebre for gay rights and AIDS awareness activism. Stone was only pushed to continue the trial, after Curry refused multiple plea deals, when a mother killed her disabled child in a copycat crime. Curry was convicted on a misdemeanor and received a suspended sentence of six months of probation. As Curry himself revealed he also suffered AIDS, he presumably died. (L&O: "The Reaper's Helper")
