Law and Order

Jonas Carpentino is the Mayor of New Paltz, New York, who presided as the justice of the piece for same-sex couples across the country. He was in a legal fight with Judge Gerald Stojekovich over gay rights, as Stojekovich put an injunction on his policies until deliberations were concluded for a final decision.

Carpentino was questioned about wedding Richard Kaplan, who was on trial for murder, and Devin Bradley, whose testimony was under spousal privilege. The prosecution challenged gay rights in the state and got them successfully nullified. (L&O: "Gov Love")
